Hong Kong: continuing protests
Just a quick post today to promote this blog from a group of Korean-american activists at the WTO. Lots of great first-hand accounts, pictures, and, frankly, a sensitivity to what's going on that you just don't see in the mainstream coverage. It's been very exciting to see how these Hong Kong anti-corporate globalization protests have combined all these different groups from the region in such a unified and organized manner. Just goes to show you that there are a variety of different forms of transnational cooperation and exchange beyond the market driven ones we often interpret as globalization. Here's a blog from a Canadian union president, for a view coming from organized labour.
